Netta Cohen, LCSW
About Netta
With over a decade of experience working with youth and adults in diverse settings across the Atlanta and Tel Aviv areas, I provide therapy sessions both online and in person to accommodate varying needs and preferences.
My expertise lies in assisting individuals as they navigate significant life transitions such as immigration, college, romantic relationships, career changes, and parenthood. Additionally, I provide support for those dealing with various forms of anxiety, including phobias, social anxiety, performance anxiety, and OCD, as well as those coping with loss and trauma.
I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the Smith College School for Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Western Galilee College in Israel. My therapeutic approach integrates relational psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral theories. Furthermore, I incorporate various modalities into my practice, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and IFS (Internal Family Systems), continually striving to expand my knowledge and grow as a clinician.

My Approach
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a scientifically based practice that has been proven to be effective in treating many life challenges, especially anxiety and depression. CBT focuses on the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and helps guide you with coping skills for specific goals.
Trauma Therapy
Navigating trauma can be challenging without proper guidance. Netta’s approach includes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for processing distressing memories, Internal Family Systems (IFS) for understanding and healing different parts of oneself, and trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for comprehensive care.
Relational Psychodynamic Therapy
Relational Psychodynamic Therapy explores deep-rooted patterns in your relationships and emotions. By understanding these patterns, it helps improve your self-awareness and relationships. This approach emphasizes the therapeutic relationship as a crucial part of healing and growth.
